Free Weekend Denver!

Two free excellent events this weekend for Denver area residents:

First there is the annual Red Bull Soapbox races at Red Rocks Park in Morrison. Watch as homemade soapboxes careen out of control as the forces of gravity fly them down the park's main windy road. This is perhaps a once in a lifetime event to experience since the event changes venue each year. Park at Bandimere Drag Racing Park and take a free shuttle to Red Rocks and enjoy the free race. Gates open at 10 AM and races start at noon. Hilarity will follow.

On Sunday, Obamania returns to Denver with an open to the public appearance of Barack Obama at Civic Center Park in downtown Denver. Gates open at 10 AM, program begins at 11:30. If you're smart be there by 8 AM. See the next president of the United States.
